A smile, an encounter, an open mind
the smell of gardenia, made to order
Six two, are you? Internal joke
Sharp mind, soft hands, touch of heavens
Keep talking, you’re interesting, shed those layers
Can I see you practice? Can I come to dinner; Can I serve your tea?
Type A’s, two of us, across the table
Made to order, supermarket, catalog
The full moon’s made you into a wolf
and I want to be ravaged
but will settle for a hug
What is that you’re wearing? Gardenia? I’ll carry the smell in my car.
Can’t hide my excitement. Can I see you? We have plenty of time.
You talk, I listen and suddenly I’m high.
Catalog, made to order.. it was you, and so it was?

A-I cannot tell you all the ways that I love this, I love the bits and pieces, the fragments, and your descriptions, and I love the repetitiveness of certain phrases.
This is probably one of my favorites by you so far.

Love it. I cant wipe the smile from my face.
literally. I could totally relate.
Thanks Matt. I went to your blog and read “Waiting” (see http://chill-fu.net/2007/07/29/waiting/) and I can see how you would totally relate. I lost myself reading it and found myself also smiling at how good you are putting words to a feeling. Thanks for stopping by.
Sweet, sweet tuttysan outdoes herself.
Te seré sincero musa:
No amo la poesía,
su P mayúscula
me mueve a risa.
No he leído a Lorca
ni podido terminar Neruda alguno.
Pero, aunque no daría la vida,
la arriesgaría por salvar de las olas
un poema de Ritsos,
dos o tres de Kavafis,
los versos iniciales con que Tuttysan
me lanza al firmamento,
el adiós de Cernuda
y su esperanza de volver un día,
unas vagas estrellas,
Durrell,
los ásperos criminales de Pessoa
y tres o cuatro más
que se me olvidan.
Beautifull, interesting, personal, you are really awesome..
