Inés del Alma Mía by Isabel Allende
Isabel Allende’s well seasoned story-telling is showcased to please in this latest novel. The part I enjoyed most, as I did about Portrait in Sepia, is how well she depicts the historical setting in which her stories take place. This, providing educational value as well as entertainment. A lot of research went into writing Inés del Alma Mía (Inés of My Soul). The English translation does not take away from her fresh, at times funny and true-to-her-characters style.
…she is on my top 5 list…I think she is incredible…and I don’t say that very often…My favorite book by her is Tales Of Eva Luna…absolute genius…
